Qalcosonic E4 – the only heat meter to be Accepted by Byggvarubedömningen
Stockholm, August 16, 2025 – Qalcosonic E4 is the first and only energy meter on the Swedish market to receive the classification Accepted by Byggvarubedömningen. The assessment means that the product meets high requirements for environmental performance, health and life cycle thinking – something that makes it possible for property owners, installers and designers to choose sustainable products in their construction projects.
As a heat meter, the Qalcosonic E4 is classified as UGA according to AMA 25.
The Building Products Assessment is a leading system for environmental assessment of building products in Sweden. The classification "Accepted" is only given to products that meet strict criteria regarding chemical content, climate impact and resource efficiency.
Qalcosonic E4
Qalcosonic E4 is a heat meter constructed of composite material. The meter is certified according to the Measuring Instruments Directive MID.
It is built for all energy meter applications up to 90 degrees C. For higher temperatures and larger dimensions, please refer to the Qalcosonic E3.
Options
The meter can be used for both cooling and heating. It is delivered in transport mode so that the application can be programmed on site.
M-bus is standard but it can be supplemented with:

- LoRa
- Modbus
- BACnet
- etc.
